CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF FLANDRAU SCIENCE CENTER & PLANETARIUM
In order to commemorate 50 years of discovery, Flandrau invites the community to enjoy our science exhibits and planetarium shows this December 13, from 10AM-5PM free of charge! This is Flandrau's special way of thanking the community that has brought us so much support and taken part in the wonder of science. Bring family and friends to explore our Universe of Science, Wild World of Bugs, UnderSea Discovery, and Sharks: Magnificent and Misunderstood Exhibits. All ages are welcome to join us for this event.
Our Gift Back
For 50 years, the Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium has stood as a center for scientific wonder and curiosity at the University of Arizona. Born from the vision of UA astronomers and with the assistance of Grace Flandrau, this establishment opened its doors in December 1975. Since then, Flandrau has brought the beauty of space and science to one of the "astronomy capitals of the world" to the Tucson community. From the Hector Vector Star Projector to today's Eos Foundation Planetarium Theater, Flandrau is proud to continue to bring inspiring experiences to all.
