Birthday parties for all ages are welcome, however, our planetarium shows and exhibits are best suited for ages 5 and up.

What your party includes:

Party host
Goodie bag for person celebrating their birthday
Private party room with refrigerator and freezer available during scheduled party time
Access to all science exhibits until closing time on the day of the party
Advanced, preferred seating for a planetarium show for your whole group

Please note the University of Arizona has a strict no-open flame policy which prohibits use of any flames for catering and/or birthday candles.

Saturdays & Sundays
10:30AM, 12:00PM, or 1:30PM (see timeframes below)

After hours parties may be available for an additional fee. Please fill out this form to make an after hours birthday party request.

Parties at Flandrau are 3 hours in length for your guests. You will have 2 hours for guests to eat and explore exhibits and approximately 1 hour to enjoy a planetarium show. Additionally, you'll have 30 minutes to set up before your party and 30 minutes to clean up after your party.

Use of the party room beyond the scheduled time must be arranged in advance.

Extended time must be within normal business hours and will incur a fee of $100/hour.

Pricing

$375 for up to 15 guests
- Includes every person that attends the party ages 3 and older, excluding the person celebrating their birthday
Additional guests are $22 each

A deposit of $100 is required to confirm your birthday party.
