May 18th is the day to celebrate museums! Coordinated by the International Council of Museums, International Museum Day is our chance to raise awareness for the development museum's provide our society today.
Museums all over the world participate in IMD every year with an annual theme. This years theme is The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities.
To participate in IMD this year, Flandrau is offering discounted prices on May 18. Everyone will be able to purchase tickets for the child's price of $10.95 for shows or exhibits (or a combo for $18.95). Flandrau member pricing and EBT card holder pricing will still be honored.
SPECIAL ACTIVITES
There will be special science demonstrations and activities in the exhibit halls, including a mini workshop from the U of A Department of Entomology called Insect Discovery.
